Tampa Rays Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

Tampa Bay enters their series with the Milwaukee Brewers with a 16-21 record. They sit in 4th place in the AL East and were just swept by the Phillies. The Rays are five games behind the Yankees in the division. Today ahead of their series opener against the Brewers they announced three roster moves. They have transferred Ha-Seong Kim to the 60-day injured list and selected the contract of Connor Seabold from Triple-A today.

Ha-Seong Kim

The Tampa Bay Rays have transferred Kim from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list. Kim is recovering from right shoulder surgery. He has yet to play for the Rays this year. Kim was signed as a free agent this off-season. He had spent the last few years with the San Diego Padres.

Connor Seabold

The Tampa Bay Rays selected Seabold’s contract from Durham Bull and activated him today before their game against Milwaukee. He has pitched in six games this year with five being starts. Seabold has worked 27.2 innings this year allowing 26 hits, 14 runs, seven walks, and struck out 26. He currently has a 4.55 ERA, a .248 batting average against, and a 1.19 WHIP.

Mason Englert

The Tampa Bay Rays have optioned the right-hand pitcher to Triple-A today ahead of their game. He has appeared in 11 games for the Rays this year. Englert has pitched in 18 innings allowing 23 hits, 13 runs, four walks, and striking out 18. He heads to Triple-A with a 6.00 ERA, a .315 batting average against, and a 1.50 WHIP.
