Probable Starting Pitchers

Game 1: Jacob deGrom (0-0, 4.30 ERA) vs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto (2-1, 1.23 ERA)
Jacob deGrom and Yoshinobu Yamamoto face off in the series opener between the Texas Rangers and the Dodgers. DeGrom has been dealing through his starts, though he has not yet been credited with a win or a loss. His ERA took a nosedive during his last start, where he struggled through four innings, giving up three hits, three runs, two home runs, and walking four. Yamamoto has been credited with two wins and one loss for the Dodgers. He has allowed only four runs across his four starts.

Game 2: Nathan Eovaldi (1-2, 2.55 ERA) vs. Roki Sasaki (0-1, 3.29 ERA)
The Rangers’ veteran ace faces off against the Dodgers’ newest rookie in the middle game of this series. Nathan Eovaldi will be making his fifth start of the season. Eovaldi has allowed seven runs across his first four starts. Sasaki is also making his fifth start of the season, having allowed five runs across those starts.

Game 3: Tyler Mahle (3-0, 0.92 ERA) vs. Tyler Glasnow (1-0, 4.85 ERA)
The Tylers face off in the series finale for these two teams. Tyler Mahle has made four starts for the Texas Rangers thus far. While he struggled in his first start, he has not been credited with a loss, having given up only two earned runs. Tyler Glasnow will be making his fourth start for the defending World Series champions. He has allowed seven runs across the thirteen innings of those starts. 

Player To Watch:

Texas Rangers

If he remains with the team, and he should, Dustin Harris will be the player to watch in this series. Since being called up on April 11th, Harris has recorded a hit in nearly every game he has appeared in. He has 12 at-bats, garnering four hits, three runs, one double, one RBI, and one home run. In 2024, he had six at-bats with the major league squad with a batting average of .333, with one home run and three RBIs for the Texas Rangers.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Freddie Freeman will be the Dodger to watch in this series. He has had significant success against all three pitchers the Rangers put forward. He has three home runs and six RBIs off of Jacob deGrom, one home run and six RBIs off of Nathan Eovald, and one home run and six RBIs off of Tyler Mahle. In his last start, he recorded two hits, one run, one RBI, and one walk.
