Probable Starting Pitchers

Game 1: Jack Dreyer (2-1, 3.63 ERA) vs. Sandy Alcantara (2-3, 8.31 ERA)

Drayer, 26, lasted just two innings last time, also against the Marlins. The southpaw allowed one run in his 13th appearance, but the young starter has a decent ERA and will be after a clean outing to help his already strong ERA. Pitching on the other side, Alcantara, once considered a top prospect, has put together a strong career, and the ERA above eight seems an outlier. The 29-year-old chases consistency in his starts.

Game 2: Tony Gonsolin (1-0, 4.50 ERA) vs. Cal Quantrill (2-3, 8.10 ERA)

Gonsolin has just one start this season, a six-inning performance. The 30-year-old right-hander doesn’t need a ton of buildup, and he will be out to duplicate and ideally best his previous start. Quantrill is also a 30-year-old righty. Quantrill has already tallied six starts, and none as complete as his counterpart’s. If Quantrill can limit the number of home runs and walks he allows, we could have a pitching duel on our hands.

Game 3: Yoshinobu Yamamoto (4-2, 0.90 ERA) vs. Valente Bellozo (0-2, 4.97 ERA)

Yamamoto allowed a single run over his last 18 innings of work. An early Cy Young favorite, He will try to continue his recent success. Bellozo, who debuted last June and posted a respectable sub-four ERA in 2024. Bellozo has pitched well in his shorter starts so far this season, though when he’s asked to make longer starts, he tends to struggle. Even still, an ERA under 5.00 is never bad, and so the 25-year-old shows promise. If he can mix the longevity in starts with his early game dominance, watch out for the young righty.
