Milwaukee Brewers Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off a series win against the Detroit Tigers. They are now heading into a home series against the Athletics. With a 10-9 record on the year the Brewers are in second place in the NL Central at the moment. The Brewers have three games at home with the Athletics. Then they head on the road for a nine game stretch over three different stops: San Francisco, St. Louis, and finishing up in Chicago to take on the White Sox. Before today’s game with the Athletics they have announced two roster moves. They sent Brandon Woodruff on a rehab assignment with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. They also recalled Caleb Durbin from Triple-A Nashville Sound.

Brandon Woodruff

Woodruff hasn’t pitched in a regular season game since 2023. He was 5-1 in 11 starts that year before going down with his shoulder injury. He pitched in 67 innings allowing a 2.28 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, and held opponents to a .172 batting average in 2023. Woodruff will start in High-A with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. The Brewers plan to get him back into the rotation by early summer if all goes well.

Caleb Durbin

The Milwaukee Brewers have recalled the second baseman from Triple-A. Durbin was part of the return for Devin Williams this winter in the trade with the Yankees. This year, in 13 games, he has achieved 12 runs and 15 hits. He also has five doubles, two home runs, three RBI, and three steals. Durbin has a .316 batting average with a .797 OPS this year in Triple-A.
