He had a 1.29 ERA in 14 innings of work, giving up six walks, striking out 16, and a 0.93 WHIP. Avila has made one start for Omaha this season. Avila has a 6.00 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP in Triple-A. He pitched three innings in his start, with two walks and struck out three. He will start game one of the series for the Royals on Friday night.
