
The Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox wrapped up their three-game series this afternoon at Rate Field. Kyle Bradish made his third start for the Orioles, still searching for his first win of the season. Sean Burke took the ball for the White Sox, also searching for his first win of the season.

Orioles vs. White Sox
First Three
The White Sox struck first in the bottom of the second. Andrew Benintendi hit a one-out triple and then scored on a Dustin Harris single. Harris stole second base, then Luisangel Acuña singled him home to make it 2-0. The Orioles evened things up in the third as Gunnar Henderson led off with a walk, then Taylor Ward doubled him home. Ward advanced to third on a wild pitch before he scored on an Adley Rutschman groundout to make it 2-2.
Middle Three
The middle innings were quiet until the bottom of the fifth when Bradish walked Chade Meidroth and Munetaka Murakami. He got the second out after that, but Colson Montgomery drew a walk after an error by Kyle Bradish allowed everyone to advance a base, making it 3-2 White Sox. The Orioles would tie it in the top of the sixth. A one-out Pete Alonso double, followed by a Tyler O’Neill infield single, had runners on first and second. Ryan Mountcastle walked, and Alonso scored on a passed ball to make it 3-3. The Orioles took their first lead of the game as Dylan Beavers drove home O’Neill on a sacrifice fly. The White Sox would threaten in the bottom half of the inning, but Baltimore escaped the threat.
Last Three
The Orioles got a two-out double in the seventh from Ward, but Chicago got the final out. The White Sox got a one-out single from Miguel Vargas, and Montgomery was hit by a pitch; however, Baltimore was able to get Derek Hill to ground into a double play.
Baltimore got two walks in the eighth but couldn’t drive them home. The White Sox went down in order. Baltimore added some insurance in the ninth as Gunnar Henderson doubled and then scored on a double by Ward to make it 5-3. The White Sox had two walks in the ninth but Baltimore got the final out to secure the win.
Player of the Game
Taylor Ward had a huge day for Baltimore. He went 4-5 with three doubles, two RBI, and a run scored.
