The Detroit Tigers will take on the Cincinnati Reds for a three-game series this weekend. The Tigers dropped two out of three to start the week and were outscored 19-15. The Tigers announced today ahead of the series opener that they are recalling outfielder Parker Meadows from Triple-A Toledo and are optioning outfielder Akil Baddoo to Triple-A.

Now he returns to Detroit in hopes he’s figured things out.

Baddoo in 22 games with Detroit is hitting .132 with a .582 OPS; he had a double, two triples, two home runs, four RBI, seven runs scored, a stolen base, and eight walks. This season at Toledo he’s played in 40 games hitting .253 with a .833 OPS; he had seven doubles, four triples, six home runs, 22 RBI, 28 runs scored, 16 stolen bases, and 25 walks.
