Detroit Tigers Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Detroit Tigers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks last night to kick off their three-game series. The Detroit bats woke up in a big way scoring 13 runs while they got a dazzling performance from their ace LHP Tarik Skubal who went six shutout innings giving up one hit; he didn’t issue a walk and struck out six. The offense was led by Colt Keith Javier Baez and Kerry Carpenter; Keith went 4-5 with two RBI, and three runs scored while Baez went 3-4 with two doubles, five RBI, and a run scored, Carpenter also drove in four runs going 2-5 with a double, a triple, and a run scored. Today they claimed LHP Easton Lucas off waivers from the Oakland A’s and with that, they have designated RHP Ty Adcock for assignment. Lucas has been assigned to Triple-A Toledo. 

Tigers Moves By The Numbers 

LHP – Easton Lucas

Lucas was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 14th round of the 2019 MLB Draft. He made his debut with the A’s in 2023 going one inning giving up a run on two hits; he walked two and struck out one. He finished the season making six appearances with an 8.10 ERA, a 2.10 WHIP, and seven strikeouts in 6.2 innings. This season he’s spent time with A’s and Triple-A Las Vegas. With the A’s he’s appeared in three games posting a 14.73 ERA, a 3.00 WHIP, and six strikeouts in 3.2 innings. With Las Vegas, he’s appeared in 11 games with one of those coming as a start going 2-0 with a 2.87 ERA, a 1.27 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts in 15.2 innings. 

RHP – Ty Adcock

Adcock was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the eighth round of the 2019 MLB Draft. He made his debut in 2023 going two shutout innings and didn’t allow a run or a walk or record a strikeout. He was claimed off waivers by the Tigers in April of this season, he’s been pitching at Triple-A Toledo going 1-1 in six appearances with a 9.00 ERA, a 2.00 WHIP, and nine strikeouts in six innings.
