The Detroit Tigers wrap up their three-game series with the Boston Red Sox tonight. They are looking to complete a sweep after winning game one 14-2 and walking it off last night. Tarik Skubal takes the ball for Detroit in the finale, facing Hunter Doobins for the Red Sox. Ahead of tonight’s game, the Tigers recalled outfielder Akil Baddoo from Triple-A Toledo and optioned third baseman Jace Jung to Toledo.

Baddoo this season between Single-A Lakeland and Toledo appeared in 28 games, hitting .245 with a .807 OPS. He has two doubles, seven home runs, 15 RBI, 19 runs scored, six stolen bases, and 12 walks. Jung in 18 games with Detroit hit .111 with a .356 OPS. He had three RBI, eight runs scored, and seven walks. In 19 games at Toledo this season, he hit .239 with a .872 OPS. He had four doubles, a triple, three home runs, six RBI, nine runs scored, a stolen base, and 20 walks.

Akil Baddoo

Baddoo in 31 games with the Tigers last season, hit .137 with a .758 OPS. He had two doubles, two triples, two home runs, five RBI, seven runs scored, a stolen base, and eight walks. He’s appeared in 340 big league games, hitting .226 with a .680 OPS. He has 38 doubles, 12 triples, 28 home runs, 103 RBI, 137 runs scored, 42 stolen bases, and 119 walks.

Jace Jung

Jung in 34 games last season for Detroit hit .241 with a .665 OPS. He had five doubles, three RBI, 14 runs scored, and 15 walks. In 272 minor league games in his career, he’s hit .257 with a .847 OPS. He has 61 doubles, five triples, 47 home runs, 164 RBI, 152 runs scored, ten stolen bases, and 195 walks.
