The Detroit Tigers will play a doubleheader today against the Baltimore Orioles. Ahead of today’s game, they made a flurry of roster moves. First, Keider Montero has been recalled to be the 27th man for the doubleheader. He may likely start game two. The other move is the Tigers recalling left-handed pitcher Sean Guenther from Triple-A Toledo and optioning left-handed pitcher Bailey Horn to Triple-A Toledo.

Keider Montero

Montero has made two starts this season for Detroit. He is 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA, a 1.93 WHIP, and 11 strikeouts in 9.1 innings. Keider Montero has made two starts at Toledo going 1-1 with a 2.79 ERA, a 0.72 WHIP, and 11 strikeouts in 9.2 innings. 

Sean Guenther 

Guenther has appeared in three games this season between Single-A Lakeland and Triple-A Toledo. He’s 0-1 with an 8.10 ERA, a 1.80 WHIP, and three strikeouts in 3.1 innings. 

Bailey Horn

Horn in his lone appearance with Detroit went 1.1 innings, he didn’t allow a run and gave up one hit. He didn’t issue a walk and struck out two. In five appearances with two coming as starts at Toledo, he posted a 6.48 ERA, a 2.40 WHIP, and 11 strikeouts in 8.1 innings.
