
The Detroit Tigers are reportedly acquiring right-handed pitchers Chris Paddack and Randy Dobnak from the Minnesota Twins. Ken Rosenthal has reported that the deal is complete. The Tigers are trading minor league first baseman/catcher Enrique Jimenez.
Paddack this season in 21 starts is 3-9 with a 4.95 ERA, a 1.28 WHIP, a 4.39 FIP, and 83 strikeouts in 111 innings. Paddack was scheduled to pitch tomorrow for the Twins against the Boston Red Sox. Dobnak, in one game this season with Minnesota, went 5.1 innings, giving up one run on two hits. He walked two and struck out one. In 17 games at Triple-A, he is 1-7 with a 7.12 ERA, a 1.71 WHIP, and 42 strikeouts in 60.2 innings. Jimenez, this season with the Tigers’ rookie ball team, is hitting .250 with a .779 OPS. He had ten doubles, two triples, six home runs, 32 RBI, 27 runs scored, four stolen bases, and 23 walks in 48 games.

Chris Paddack
Paddack, in seven big league seasons, has made 106 appearances with 103 of those coming as starts. He is 30-33 with a 4.49 ERA, a 4.07 FIP, a 1.21 WHIP, and 500 strikeouts in 534.2 innings. He has pitched for both the Twins and the San Diego Padres during his career.
Randy Dobnak
Dobnak has appeared in 39 games, with 21 of those coming as starts over five seasons. He is 9-12 with a 4.86 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP, and 85 strikeouts in 140.2 innings. He’s spent his whole career with the Twins
Enrique Jimenez
In 137 minor league games for the Tigers hit .255 with a .776 OPS. He had 30 doubles, six triples, ten home runs, 68 RBI, 73 runs scored, 12 stolen bases, and 75 walks. Jimenez is only 19 years old.
