Luis Urias
The Red Sox acquired Urias from the Milwaukee Brewers at the trade deadline. Since joining the Red Sox, he has slashed .225/.361/.337 with a .698 OPS; he has four doubles, two home runs, 13 RBI, 13 runs scored, and 14 walks. He will be with the Red Sox entering next season unless they decide to Designate him for assignment or trade him in the offseason. Urias has a career slash line of .234/.333/.385 and a .719 OPS; he has 61 doubles, four triples, 48 home runs, 180 RBI, 192 runs scored, nine stolen bases, and 172 walks. His best season came in 2021 with the Brewers when he slashed .249/.345/.445 with a .789 OPS and had 23 home runs and 75 RBI; the Red Sox will hope they can get that kind of production from him in 2024.
Enmanuel Valdez
Valdez has split time in 2023 between Triple-A and the Majors. His slash line with the Red Sox was .246/.294/.415 with a .709 OPS; he has five doubles, five home runs, 15 RBI, 14 runs scored, four stolen bases, and seven walks in 41 games. In Triple-A, he was slashing .254/.388/.476 with a .864 OPS; he had eight doubles, two triples, ten home runs, 41 RBI, 38 runs scored, four stolen bases, and 41 walks in 57 games. Valdez will be fighting for a spot on the Red Sox in 2024.
