Today ahead of their final game against the Rays and before the break they made a trade with the Chicago White Sox. The Red Sox are sending catcher Blake Sabol to Chicago for cash considerations. Sabol this season in eight games for the Red Sox hit .125 with a .354 OPS. He had a double, an RBI, two runs scored, and a walk. Sabol has hit .167 with a .580 OPS in 43 games for Triple-A Worcester. He had eight doubles, a triple, three home runs 17 RBI, 15 runs scored, seven stolen bases, and 21 walks.

Blake Sabol

The Pittsburgh Pirates drafted Sabol in the seventh round of the 2019 MLB Draft. He was then claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Reds on December 7, 2022. The next day he was traded to the San Francisco Giants. In 121 games for the Giants, he hit .243 with a .705 OPS. He had 12 doubles, 13 home runs, 45 RBI, 39 runs scored, four stolen bases, and 29 walks. He owns a .261 average and a .792 OPS over 389 career minor league games.He has 71 doubles, 15 triples, 49 home runs, 217 RBI, 218 runs scored, 39 stolen bases, and 197 walks.
