Philadelphia Phillies Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Philadelphia Phillies lost 6-5 to the Tampa Bay Rays yesterday in Grapefruit League action. They are playing the Detroit Tigers today and have three more spring games before Opening Day on March 28th when they face the Atlanta Braves. Today they have made another round of roster moves to fill out the rosters as we come to the end of spring training.

RHP – Mitch Neunborn

Neunborn was assigned to the Phillies roster today as they continue to add players to teams to try and finish up the Spring games while resting some regulars. Neunborn spent last year pitching for the Jersey Shore Blueclaws in High-A ball. He started 10 games last year with a 3-4 record, pitching 42.2 innings, 54 strikeouts, 14 walks, a 3.38 ERA, and a 0.94 WHIP.

C – Junior Marino

Marino was assigned to the Phillies roster as well today. Last played in 2022 for the Twins in the Dominican Summer League. Marino first entered the league as a pitcher and has made the position switch to Catcher hoping to catch on with the Phillies in the minors this year. He is five foot eleven 165 pounds right hand bat and arm.

OF – Junior Marin

Marin was assigned to the Phillies roster this morning. He spent all last year playing for the Phillies team in the Florida Cpmplex League. He played in five games last year with two doubles, one RBI, one walk and slashed .294/.316/.412 with a .728 OPS on the year.

SS – Nolan Beltran

Beltran was assigned like the others to the Phillies roster today ahead of their spring game. Last year he played for the Phillies in the Dominican Summer League. He played in 32 games with five doubles, two triples, one home run, 20 RBIs, 15 walks, three steals, and slashed .297/.375/.405 with a .780 OPS.
