Philadelphia Phillies Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Phillies lost 6-5 today in Grapefruit League against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Team faces off against the Detroit Tigers tomorrow with Opening Day now a week away. The team made several moves today to continue to manipulate the roster as spring training winds down.

2B – Leonardo Rondon

Rondon was assigned to the Phillies today ahead if their game with the Tampa Bay Rays. Last year Rondon spent his time playing for the Phillips Florida Complex League team. He played in 27 games, had two doubles, one triple, one home run, 12 RBIs, four stolen bases, and slashed .286/.379/.385 with a .764 OPS.

2B – Marco Soto

Soto was assigned to the Phillips roster today before their game with the Rays. Last year Soto was with the Phillies rookie club in the Florida Complex League. He played in 35 games, had seven doubles, one home run, 13 RBIs,, and slashed .260/.339/.330 with a .669 OPS.

2B – Pierce Bennett

Bennett was assigned to the Phillips roster today ahead of the game with the Rays. Last year he spent the season with the Phillips team in the Florida Complex League. He played in eight games had, one double, five RBIs, and slashed .190/.400/.238 with an OPS of .638 on the year.

CF – Yhoswar Garcia

Garcia was assigned to the Phillies roster today along with the others. Last season he played 35 games with the Phillies Florida Complex League team. He had seven doubles, one triple, one home run, 22 RBIs, eleven stolen bases, and slashed .235/.300/.324 with a .624 OPS.

SS – Casey Martin

Martin was assigned the Phillies roster ahead of the game like the others. Last year he split the season between Double AA Reading and High A Jersey Shore. Combined he played in 113 games had, 17 doubles, three triples, 11 home runs, 37 RBIs, 22 stolen bases and slashed .226/.298/.366 with a .664 OPS.
