Milwaukee Brewers Roster Moves 6/12/2025

Milwaukee Brewers Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Milwaukee Brewers shook up their roster this week by making several significant moves aimed at bolstering their pitching staff. Most notably, the team selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Jacob Misiorowski from Triple-A Nashville. Misiorowski, one of Milwaukee’s top pitching prospects, has earned this promotion with dominant performances at the minor league level.

Jacob Misiorowski

So far in 2025, Misiorowski has compiled a 2.58 ERA with 67 strikeouts in just over 45 innings for the Nashville Sounds. His fastball regularly hits triple digits, and he has continued to refine his slider and changeup. As a result, the Brewers believe he’s ready to contribute at the Major League level.

Brandon Woodruff

To clear a spot on the 40-man roster, the Brewers placed Brandon Woodruff on the 60-day injured list. Woodruff continues to recover from right shoulder surgery, and although his rehab is progressing, he won’t return to action until at least late summer. This move allows the Brewers to stay flexible while giving Woodruff the time he needs to fully recover.

Easton McGree

In addition, Milwaukee optioned right-hander Easton McGee to Triple-A Nashville. McGee has struggled in limited innings with the big-league club, and the team hopes he can regain consistency with regular work in the minors. Notably, this decision also opens a path for Misiorowski to join the rotation or work in a long-relief role.

Wrap Up

With these moves, the Brewers are focused on both the short-term and long-term outlook. Misiorowski brings fresh energy to a staff that has been hit. Moreover, his arrival adds depth and power to a rotation that continues to evolve.

Looking ahead, fans will eagerly watch Misiorowski’s debut. His electric arsenal and competitive mindset could make an immediate impact as the Brewers push for the top spot in the NL Central. Meanwhile, the team remains hopeful that Woodruff can rejoin the rotation later in the season and strengthen the pitching staff for a playoff run.

In summary, Milwaukee’s recent roster decisions show a proactive approach. By promoting talent and managing injuries strategically, the Brewers continue to build momentum for the 2025 season.
