Kansas City Royals Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Kansas City Royals play the middle game of rivalry weekend against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Royals dropped game one last night, 10-3. Ahead of today’s game, they placed left-handed pitcher Cole Ragans on the injured list with a left groin strain. They also placed right-handed pitcher Seth Lugo on the injured list with a third finger sprain. They recalled left-handed pitchers Noah Cameron and Evan Sisk from Triple-A Omaha. Cameron gets the start today.

Cole Ragans

Ragans is 2-3 with a 4.53 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP, and 72 strikeouts in 45.2 innings. In 79 career appearances, with 62 of those coming as starts, going 20-20 with a 3.60 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP, and 435 strikeouts in 368 innings. 

Seth Lugo

Lugo is 3-4 with a 3.02 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP, and 42 strikeouts in 56.2 innings. He’s made 343 appearances with 106 of those coming as starts, going 59-44 with a 3.35 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP, and 871 strikeouts in 904.1 innings. 

Noah Cameron 

Cameron in one started with the Royals and picked up the win, going 6.1 shutout innings, allowing one hit. He walked five and struck out three. In seven starts at Triple-A, he is 2-1 with a 3.31 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts in 32.2 innings. 

Evan Sisk

Sisk, in two appearances with the Royals this season, hasn’t allowed an earned run. He’s allowed two hits, two walks, and struck out five in 2.1 innings. In 12 appearances at Triple-A, he is 0-1 with a 0.75 ERA, a 1.08 WHIP, and 15 strikeouts in 12 innings.
