The Houston Astros will begin the season on Thursday against the New York Mets. The Astros will have Framber Valdez taking the ball as he will oppose Clay Holmes for the Mets. The Astros will look a little different this season with Alex Bregman now in Boston and Kyle Tucker with the Cubs. Jose Altuve will also start the season playing left field. Now that opens a spot, and their top prospect in their system will make the Opening Day. Today, Cam Smith has announced that he has made the roster. Smith was a key piece in the trade that involved Kyle Tucker. The Astros also released Jon Singleton this afternoon.
