The Detroit Tigers own the best record in baseball and with the trade deadline fast approaching in 26 days. Detroit will look to address third base at the trade deadline which has been a question mark all season since Alex Bregman was reportedly close to signing before agreeing to a deal with the Boston Red Sox. Ironically Bergman’s name is one of the ones to watch but who else may be available for the Tigers.

Alex Bregman
Bregman may be available if he and the Red Sox can’t get an extension done before the deadline. Bregman is currently injured, but the Red Sox expect him to return soon.. Before his injury in 51 games, he was hitting .299 with a .938 OPS. He had 17 doubles, 11 home runs, 35 RBI, 32 runs scored, one stolen base, and 22 walks. Bregman has a .242 average with five doubles, six home runs 18 RBI, and 16 runs scored in 24 games at Comerica Park.
Eugenio Suarez
Suarez’s availability will depend on what happens with Arizona over the next few weeks. He started his big league career with the Tigers back in 2014, so this would be a homecoming. He is hitting .250 with a .879 OPS. Suarez has 16 doubles, 27 home runs, 70 RBI, 52 runs scored, a stolen base, and 22 walks. In 53 career games at Comerica Park, he has hit .232 with four doubles, a triple, three home runs, driven in 14 runs, and scored 18 times.
Ryan McMahon
McMahon has been linked more so to the Yankees but if available wouldn’t be a bad option for Detroit. This season in 85 games he’s hitting .213 with a .696 OPS. He has 12 doubles, a triple, 12 home runs, 25 RBI, 35 runs scored, two stolen bases, and 43 walks. In just six career games at Comerica Park, he’s hitting .238 with a home run, two RBI, and a run scored.
Nolan Arenado
Arenado like Suarez will depend on where the Cardinals are in a few weeks but is the name after Bregman that has been attached to the Tigers. This season in 80 games he’s hitting .247 with a .701 OPS. He has 13 doubles, a triple, ten home runs, 41 RBI, 38 runs scored, a stolen base, and 24 walks. In eight career games at Comerica Park, he’s hitting .207 with a double, a home run, an RBI, and four runs scored.
