The Detroit Tigers have dropped the first two games of their weekend series and have been outscored 16-3. They’ve also lost five straight games while being outscored 34-7. Today before the finale they activated a bat from the 10-day injured list as outfielder Parker Meadows has returned. The corresponding move is the Tigers optioning Ryan Kreidler to Triple-A Toledo.
OF – Parker Meadows
Meadows got off to a slow start in 2024 before being optioned to Triple-A Toledo. When he returned to the Tigers in three games he went 4-11 with a double, a home run, two RBI, two runs scored, a walk, and a strikeout. This season in 35 games with Detroit he hit .131 with a .533 OPS; he had two doubles, a triple, three home runs, five RBI, 11 runs scored, four stolen bases, and 12 walks. At Toledo he played in 51 games hitting .292 with a .883 OPS; he has 11 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 25 RBI, 39 runs scored, 19 stolen bases, and 30 walks.
SS – Ryan Kreidler
Kreidler in his most recent call-up played in two games going 1-4. This season with Detroit in 21 games he was hitting .136 with a .413 OPS; he had one home run, two RBI, six runs scored, three stolen bases, and four walks. At Toledo this season he’s played in 24 games hitting .193 with a .615 OPS; he had a double, three home runs, 11 RBI, five runs scored, three stolen bases, and 11 walks.
