Detroit Tigers Prospect Check-In: Week 4

The Detroit Tigers this past week faced the Philadelphia Phillies twice, the New York Yankees, the Atlanta Braves, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Baltimore Orioles. They went 4-1-2 losing to only Philadelphia the first time and tying the Orioles and Phillies and they brought their record to 15-8-3.

Detroit Tigers Top 10 Prospects Check-In

OF – Max Clark

Clark is not playing for the Tigers at Lakeland. He did appear in the Spring Breakout game going 0-2 with a walk.

2B/3B – Colt Keith

Keith over the last week has played in five games and he went 4-14 with a triple, two RBI, and a run scored. This spring he is hitting .263 with a .685 OPS; he has two doubles, a triple, seven RBI, two runs scored, and three walks.  

RHP – Jackson Jobe

Jobe hasn’t pitched this week. This spring in his lone game he has a save and two strikeouts in one inning.

2B – Jace Jung

Jung has played in three games this week going 1-5 with an RBI. He is hitting .333 with a .899 OPS at Lakeland; he has one home run, five RBI, and five runs scored.  Jung played in the Spring Breakout game going 2-2 with two home runs, two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk.

RHP – Wilmer Flores

Flores didn’t pitch this week. This spring he has appeared in four games going 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA, a 1.35 WHIP, and seven strikeouts in 6.2 innings. Flores pitched one inning in the Spring Breakout game, he didn’t allow a run or a hit; he walked one and struck out two.

RHP – Ty Madden

Madden didn’t pitch last week. This spring in three appearances he is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, a 1.41 WHIP, and eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings. Madden went 2.1 innings in the Spring Breakout game giving up no runs on two hits; he walked two and struck out one.

OF – Justyn Henry Malloy

Malloy has played in four games over the last week going 4-10 with two home runs, two RBI, three runs scored, and a stolen base. This spring he is hitting .263 with a .843 OPS; he has a double, three home runs, three RBI, and seven runs scored.   

INF – Kevin McGonigle

McGonigle is not playing for the Tigers at Lakeland.

OF – Parker Meadows

Meadows has played in five games, going 7-12 with a double, a triple, four runs scored, two walks, and a stolen base. This spring he is hitting .368 with a 1.073 OPS; he has two home runs, three RBI, and eight runs scored.   

C – Dillon Dingler

Dingler had played in two games last week, and he went 1-4 with two runs scored, and a walk. This spring he is hitting .278 with a .861 OPS; he has one home run, two RBI, and seven runs scored. Dingle in the Spring Breakout game went 0-2 with a strikeout and a walk.
